Phew! It turns out that we don't owe EDF Energy an extra £700 on our electricity bill this month, after all

RE: EDF Energy

Complaint about a reading that doesn't match the read history on account.

From EDF Energy Customer Services:

"Thank you for today's call. Following our conversation, I can confirm that the read that you provided us on 20th of October 03705, runs in line with previous readings received and that the reading 07123 taken by our meter man is incorrect. I trust that this satisfies your query and I have closed your complaint today."

Newham Council refuses to accept that Network for Church Monitoring is a company limited by guarantee, threatening the roof over our heads

On 11 October Declan attended a preliminary hearing at Central London County Court to battle a motion written by an expensive firm of solicitors, working pro bono, to strike out his case against St Mungo's under the Data Protection Act. It turns out there will be a one-day hearing of the case in the new year, but the next day we received a letter from Newham Council stating they have suspended our Housing Benefit because they were informed we had vacated our home. They're asking for so many proofs that Declan has indexed a 57-page bundle of documents. This is his complaint about the Council's refusal to accept Network for Church Monitoring as a company limited by guarantee:

Dear Mr Bromley-Derry,

Re: Complaint Failure to Make a Reasonable Decision

I refer to the attached document from Newham Benefits Service. I have repeatedly informed Abdul Karim that Network for Church Monitoring is a company limited by guarantee (as noted in Companies House).

The share capital (£2) is notional as the company is limited by guarantee and has no share capital. The share capital refers to the amount guaranteed by the members on liquidation. The company does not have shareholders or pay dividends.

Yours sincerely,

We were evicted from our previous flat on 14 March 2013 because according to our then live-in landlady's ex-husband, Dr Nigel McKenzie, a consultant psychiatrist in Highgate Mental Health Centre, our flat was needed for somebody with a mental illness. Former MI5 whistleblower David Shayler also lived with human rights activist Belinda McKenzie in the same political 'safe house' for a couple of years until 2007. According to BBC Panorama, Shayler "caused the biggest crisis of official secrecy since the spy catcher affair"; he was jailed for seven weeks in 2002 for breaking the Official Secrets Act. It is indeed unfortunate that Shayler declared himself the Messiah in 2007, became a squatter, and was subsequently ridiculed in the press for changing his name to Delores Kane. A New Statesman article published in September 2006 featuring Shayler and Belinda gives no indication that Shayler believed he was the Messiah at that time; whilst a Daily Mail interview with him the following year reveals he believed himself to be Jesus by June 2007. He has never regained his normal self.

The Esquire article below* is mentioned in a Guardian article dated 27 March 2012. It is an eye-opener, highlighting the monitoring and surveillance that Shayler had to live with back in 2000, and the contradictory briefings and slanders that were coming out of the British establishment and the media. The author, Dr Eamonn O'Neill, is a lecturer in journalism at Strathclyde University.

*On 2 May 2013, Issuu removed this pdf from my Issuu account following a copyright complaint by Hearst Communications. I had uploaded the article to my Issuu account in December 2012. In March 2013, when last I checked, the article had been viewed more than 15,000 times. It can be read here.

Dear Mr Cowie,

Further to my e-letter dated 20 October 2016. I have this afternoon spoken with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Unfortunately, it takes the ICO up to six months to close 90% of their cases, therefore it is not an option by way of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Time is of the essence now that my revenue mail to the mailbox I rent from MBE King's Cross has been frozen by HM Revenue and Customs because Royal Mail does not have a proper address for the King's Cross location on its database.

Would you have an ADR proposal that will prevent litigation?

Facebook's 16th block against our Church and State website since 1 December 2015 (WITH UPDATE - DAY 7 24/10/2016)

Glad you compiled this odious record of mistaken blockage. What possesses the site? Surely after multiple postings they must know your content is neither lewd nor extreme.

Donald A. Collins, President of ISAF, Washington DC

We are calling this Facebook's 16th block since 1 December 2015 - in the video above they even call it a block themselves. Since this morning Facebook has stopped me from posting to groups without first passing through a time-consuming security check for every post I wish to make; and this for an undisclosed period of time and without any stated reason. Normally they block me from joining and posting to groups, blocks have been extended seemingly for the fun of it, and to date have run up to six days at a time. I only post to groups articles that I have published on our Church and State website. I also only post to groups that are specific to an article's subject and that I am well familiar with; in fact, I am extremely careful on Facebook but it doesn't seem to make a blind bit of difference. Facebook did not respond to any of my previous fifteen appeals, so I'm not expecting a response to my appeal tonight. It reads:

For the attention of Mark Zuckerberg, Chairman, Chief Executive and Co-Founder of Facebook

18 October 2016

Dear Facebook,

I wish to appeal your decision this morning to stop me from posting to groups without first passing through a time-consuming security check for every post I wish to make (called by Facebook a "block"); and this for an undisclosed period of time and without any stated reason. I haven't posted to groups at all today, and yesterday I only posted to groups that are specific to an article's subject and that I am well familiar with.

I have made a video of the security check I must pass through to post to groups; it can be viewed at https://youtu.be/N3iKqEwT9dM. In this instance, I tried to post an article titled "The Truth Seeker: 143 Years of Blasphemy!" to an atheist group I actively participate in almost on a daily basis. This is Facebook's 16th block since 1 December 2015:

1st 1-4 December 2015 (4 days)
2nd 5-7 December 2015 (3 days)
3rd 6-9 January 2016 (4 days)
4th 12-15 January 2016 (4 days)
5th 20-22 January 2016 (3 days)
6th 13-16 February 2016 (4 days)
7th 23-26 March 2016 (4 days)
8th 20-23 May 2016 (4 days)
9th 25-30 May 2016 (6 days)
10th 1-3 July 2016 (3 days)
11th 7-8 September 2016 (2 days)
12th 21-22 September 2016 (3 days)
13th 27-28 September 2016 (2 days)
14th 29 September - 3 October 2016 (5 days)
15th 4-5 October 2016 (2 days)
16th 18 October 2016 (ongoing)

Facebook has not responded to any of my previous fifteen appeals, notwithstanding that I only ever post to groups that are specific to an article's subject and that I am well familiar with. I also only post to groups articles that I have already published on our Church and State website, which has as Honorary Associates over fifty notable scholars from around the world.

RE: Facebook

Draft paragraph 42 of Declan's next updated complaint to the United Nations.

42. On 13 August 2011, then Home Office Minister Lynne Featherstone wrote to Facebook on the Applicant's behalf, asking that they explain why the Applicant's wife had been barred. The bar was subsequently lifted; however, since 1 December 2015, Facebook has blocked the Applicant's wife from posting to pages and/or groups on sixteen separate occasions, and up to six days at a time. On 22 December 2015, Shadow Home Office Minister Lyn Brown made an enquiry on the Applicant's behalf to Steve Hatch, the Managing Director of Facebook UK, asking if he could offer an explanation as to the terms and conditions the Applicant's wife was alleged to have broken twice previously. To the best of the Applicant's knowledge, Mr Hatch did not respond to this letter. The Applicant's wife only ever posts to groups that are specific to an article's subject and that she is well familiar with, and she only ever posts articles that she has already published on the Church and State website. Nonetheless, Facebook has not acknowledged or responded to any of the Applicant's wife's sixteen appeals since 1 December 2015. Each of the following blocks are well accounted for in the Applicant's wife's N4CM blog:

1st 1-4 December 2015 (4 days)

5th 20-22 January 2016 (3 days)
6th 13-16 February 2016 (4 days)
7th 23-26 March 2016 (4 days)
8th 20-23 May 2016 (4 days)
9th 25-30 May 2016 (6 days)

Newham Council suspends our Housing Benefit because they have been informed we have vacated our home

Heavey v St Mungo's: Declan's Opening Statement to the Court tomorrow morning (WITH UPDATE)

County Court at Central London, Royal Courts of Justice

Declan's preliminary hearing against the Greater London Authority-commissioned St Mungo's takes place tomorrow morning at the Central London County Court. This is his Opening Statement to the court:

It is St Mungo's contention that there was no need for this issue to be a matter of litigation as they were willing to address any concerns that I had about my records throughout. This is a misrepresentation of the material facts. St Mungo's only deleted the two action notes in dispute within days of this hearing, notwithstanding a Defence that alleged at para 5.b. that they had "rectified any errors or inaccuracies identified in the Action Notes". This has been the modus operandi throughout these proceedings that has caused great distress and financial hardship, not only because of the false, fabricated and inaccurate action notes that were created in the first instance, but also for all that St Mungo's has put me through to have these action notes deleted. I therefore request damages for distress and instead of my costs, punitive damages that will prevent a recurrence of these violations of the Data Protection Act. Alternatively, I respectfully request leave to appeal.

This is Declan's reply to St Mungo's Defence:

UPDATE 11 October (1.30pm): Despite St Mungo's insistence that the case should be struck out, a one-day hearing on the sole issue of damages will take place in the new year.

Will it take the Independent Police Complaints Commission to protect Declan's accounts with HM Revenue and Customs as they stand today?

RE: Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC)

Complaint about serious staff misconduct involving criminal or near criminal behaviour overseen by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

To HMRC PAYE and Self-Assessment Complaints:

5 October 2016

Dear Sir/Madam,

Further to my letter of 28 September regarding my complaint about serious staff misconduct involving criminal or near criminal behaviour, I wish to complain that my agent’s application online yesterday to add my email to my self-assessment contact details revealed that my address as effective from 28 September had been changed once again without notification from me or my agent. Please see my agent’s emails of 5 October and 30 September attached.

I called your customer service line this afternoon and informed them over the phone that they needed to change the address on my self-assessment to read 254 PENTONVILLE ROAD because my agent’s application online last week had been overruled and had simply corrected the post code. HMRC had once again changed the second line of my address to 252-254 PENTONVILLE ROAD which I pointed out in length is incorrect in my letter of 28 September. The correct address should read:

Suite 101
254 Pentonville Road
Islington
London
N1 9JY

Please provide me with a letter confirming that you have the correct address above and that you will not change it again without notification from me or my agent. Please also tell me the next step I need to take if I am not happy with your response. I would prefer not to have to bring this matter to the attention of the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Yours faithfully,

We are calling this Facebook's 14th block since 1 December 2015. Since 29 September, Facebook has blocked me from posting to groups without first passing through a time-consuming security check for every post I wish to make; and this for an undisclosed period of time and without any stated reason. They did not respond to any of my previous thirteen appeals, so I don't expect a response to my appeal below. We now have, however, a full-blown paragraph on Facebook for Declan's next updated complaint to the United Nations (further below). We also agree with our good friend and colleague in Washington DC, Don Collins, who wrote in response to my appeal: "Terrific!! The only way to win is to be the squeaky wheel that gets oiled!"

29 September 2016

Dear Facebook,

I wish to appeal your decision this evening to block me from posting to groups without first passing through a time-consuming security check for every post I wish to make; and this for an undisclosed period of time and without any stated reason.

I have made a video of the security check I must pass through to post to groups; it can be viewed at https://youtu.be/CkTFgZCg8MA. In this instance, I tried to post an article titled "Global overpopulation is the real issue" to Population Speak Out Discussions, a group I actively participate in almost on a daily basis.

Please note that I only ever post to groups that are specific to an article's subject and that I am well familiar with, and I only ever post articles that I have already posted to our Church and State website.

Joseph McCabe (1867-1955), a former Franciscan monk who became one of the best-known champions and a prolific popularizer of freethought and rationalism in the first half of the 20th century, had this to say:

"The criticism of religion seems to be an unpopular job. I am, as more zealous and self-sacrificing purveyors of skepticism will assure you, really a timid and innocuous person, yet I have had my life threatened in Sydney and have been protected by friendly guns in Denver. I have heard ladies of Minneapolis regret that none had the courage to shoot me, and British Spiritualist clergymen have deplored in their journal 'Light,' that I have never yet had the horsewhipping which I have merited. Friends have rushed before me in the streets of London to protect me, they imagined, from a vitriol-thrower, and sailors have been bribed by clergymen of the southern seas to put my luggage ashore a thousand miles away from my destination.
