Live-in landlady threatens withdrawal of all services from 26 July

Our live-in landlady, human rights activist Belinda McKenzie, has threatened Declan and me with the removal of all services from 26 July 2012 (the receipt for rent paid that she put under our door this afternoon states: “Final rental 26th July. No more rent taken thereafter”): our tenancy agreement states that we pay rent “inclusive of all extraneous charges save telephone line”. So Declan has emailed Belinda’s solicitors, Kidd Rapinet, to inform them that he's leaving now to report Belinda to the police following a series of threats from her since last January (see blog of 20 April Declan reports Kidd Rapinet to the Solicitors Regulation Authority):

Belinda has had to withdraw her claim for the accelerated possession of our flat due to the “wrong information” she provided the Court, to quote from an email of hers dated 19 April (see blog of 16 April Declan lodges our defence to Possession Order). But this latest threat of violence to secure entry to our flat baffles me. Belinda recently started up a group called the Association of McKenzie Friends – a McKenzie friend is a lay legal advisor assisting litigants in person. The Association is necessary, they say, “because too many victims of white collar crimes encountered too many problems and their helpers and supporters as well”.
